Florence, Palazzo Pitti - The door under the sky

Here is one of the doors of "Palazzo Pitti", in Florence.
I liked the contrast between the blue sky and the door :-)
I've shot this image in RAW, and I tried an HDR-look-alike rendering.

I've been in Florence for 3 days, and during the first day we walked for about 15km.

walking for 15 km...

We spent the most of the day around the museums in Palazzo Pitti, and the very nice, and big, Boboli Garden and Bardini Garden (both on the hill on the rear of Pitti Palace).
Florence is a wonderful city!

Florence: Neptune's fountain

This is Neptune, the god of water and the sea, form the "Fountain of Neptune" in Florence, Italy.
Te fountain is situated on the Piazza della Signoria, in front of the Palazzo Vecchio.

For this image I've chosen a sepia rendering. I've also darkened the image and enhanced the contrast to emphasize the muscles and the shape of the body.
I love the way in which the shadows make the masterwork of the artist stand out.

These are the Christmas lights on the entrance tower of the Sirmione Castle.

Emotions for fireworks

When I think to fireworks I imagine them like this one: explosions, sparkling colors, the black sky, and nothing more than your emotions.

I shot this firework at Riva del Garda during this summer; it's a wonderful location for spending holidays :-)

This have been the best fireworks show I've ever seen: 40 minutes of fireworks on the Garda lake. I took 665 photos, what a night! :-)
